The Marine Transportation Association of Kitsap (MTAK) is the
nonprofit organization, formerly known as Sinclair Landing
Association, which was formed in 1995 to coordinate the design
and manage the construction of the Bremerton Transportation
Center(BTC). Upon completion of construction of the BTC and
following the announcement that Washington State Ferries would
discontinue passenger only ferry service to Bremerton, MTAK
redirected its mission towards addressing the critical role of
marine transportation in the economic well being and quality
of life of Kitsap County.
MTAK works with community and business leaders and
local governments to promote marine transportation programs
that will serve the citizens of Kitsap County. The work of MTAK
is conducted through two council
